In fact, in the medieval period the craftsmen developed more refined techniques, such as cold and hot forging, which made it possible to create complex artifacts, as evidenced by the swords and armor of the knights of the time.

Centuries later, during the industrial revolution, the forging process began to undergo the change that has brought it to modern times.

The introduction of steam engines and machines allowed for the mechanization of the process, increasing its production and efficiency.

The use of new materials such as steel and the development of new manufacturing techniques then sanctioned the beginning of an industrial concept of forging, far from the craftsmanship of the past and oriented towards large future production.
