Production of large size forgings

Moreover PTF owns a drop forging department for large size forgings which is equipped with the following automatic lines:

• A forging line consisting of methane-fired furnace and a 5000 tons hydraulic press for parts up to 400 kg and with a maximum diameter of 900 mm (wreaths, pinions, flanges, bushings, hubs, valves, etc.);

• A forging line consisting of induction furnace, preforming press, forging hammer and cutting press dedicated to flanged and pinion shafts from 80 up to 500 kg and with a maximum height of 600 mm;

• A forging line consisting of induction/ methane-fired furnace and a 40000 kgm Bêché-type counter-blow hammer for parts up to 500 kg and with a maximum diameter of 1000 mm;

• A circular rolling line for rings from a minimum of 300 mm to a maximum diameter of 3000 mm and with height from 50 to 400 mm.
